Tea Wok (Downtown Vancouver)

I was walking by BCIT in Downtown Vancouver when I noticed this Taiwanese place hidden there. I decided to give them a try. I must say, I am really confused as to if this is a restaurant or a store. They sell things in cubes as well as in the back near the washrooms. Some of the things that they sell is quite random... like lightbulbs...
When you open the menu, the food items seem pretty fairly priced (but leaning towards the pricier side), as you can get many of these items elsewhere for cheaper. Considering that the location is downtown, however, I guess it does make sense that the price is abit higher than usual.
After we got seated, I ordered an order of Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice. I've had these all my life because my background is Taiwanese so I know what they are supposed to taste like. The Minced Pork seems to be fair in taste, but you can tell that it's been boiling in a pot for a while. It didn't taste bad or anything, but just the flavoring was slightly off. Also, the portion wasn't too big. They did put the rice in a big and heavy bowl however to make it feel abit heavy.
In addition, the service was not too good. When I was about to pay the bill the cashier wasn't too polite, as I got out my credit card, she yelled all the way across the room "we don't accept credit cards" before I could even make my way to there.
In conclusion, I've eaten at better restaurants, with higher quality and better value. But if I'm really hungry one day, and everything is closed, I guess I won't oppose coming back.
